Express add speed

Press Release

Espanola, On.

The Espanola Express are pleased to announce the signing of speedy 2000 defenceman Malcom Gamelin. The 6’1″ native of St. Calixte Quebec will spend the upcoming season as an offensive force on the blue line for the Express. Gamelin played last season at the prestigious Ulysse Academy in Quebec, scoring 32 points in 33 games.

“We are excited to have Malcom join our squad this year,” Claimed General Manager Chad Clarke. “I feel Malcom will be either the top or one of the top skaters in the league, his speed is incredible,” added Clarke.

Although Gamelin has an offensive side to him, he sees the ice very well and makes smart calculated decisions when to jump in the play and still can be considered a strong defensive defenceman as well. Combine that with a great set of hands, Gamelin has been referred to as a Chris Letang type player.

Gamelin had all kinds of offers from some great teams and we couldn’t be prouder that he chose Espanola to develop his career and to have us help him advance it,” boasted Clarke.
