Press release

Espanola, On.

The Express have announced the return of veteran forward, 98 birth year Joel Grandbois. The 6’1″, 190lbs Blezard Valley resident will add an offensive punch to the Express line up.

During the 2015-2016 season for the Espanola Express, Joel put up some impressive numbers amassing 21 goals and 17 assists in 51 games. As a 17 year old rookie forward, Grandbois finished the season as the team leader in goals and total points.

“We are happy to have Joel back in our lineup,” stated GM Chad Clarke. “We obviously have some adjustments to make and adding Joel is a step in the right direction,” added Clarke.

Grandbois did not return to play junior hockey last year to focus on his studies and to complete high school, where he also played hockey last season.

When asked about returning to the Express Joel had this to say. “I am excited to get back on the ice in Espo and play for some of the greatest fans in the world.”
