Express Re-sign 2 Key Offensive Forwards

The Espanola Express are pleased to announce the signings of 2 Key returning players to play in the 2016-2017 season for the Espanola Express Jr.”A” Hockey Club.

Returning to Espanola from Calgary Alberta is  2015-16 team 2nd leading scorer Cameron Anklewich.  As a smooth skating offensive center, Anklewich will surely be amongst the top scorers again during the 2016-2017 season. 1997 birth Year Anklewich served the 2015-16 season as team captain and his return will have a great impact not only on the ice but in the dressing room as well. Anklewich is a key piece to the puzzle moving forward in Espanola and staff couldn’t be happier to have Cameron returning. “Cameron is a player we can rely on in all situations and we expect him to have a break out year and build off of the numbers he put up last year,” stated co-coach jason rapcewicz. Anklewich posted 10 goals, 25 assists for 35 points in 54 games last season.

The second key returning player is Ottawa,  native, power forward Dominik Lavergne. Joining the Express at the end of October last year, Dominik proved to be an offensive threat in the opponents end last year as he found himself 5th in scoring on the team while playing in a shortened season. Lavergne posted 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 36 games. The 1997 birth year Lavergne stands at 6’5″ and 200lbs., his large frame will be a huge asset to the Express offence this season. “Here is another player we expect to have a break out season this year,” noted Rapcewicz. “If he would have played a full season with us last year Lavergne would have been our leading scorer and we expect him to put all kinds of numbers on the board this year and he will definately be one of our leading scorers this season,” praised GM Ginson.
