Express adds power forward

Press Release

Espanola On.

The Espanola Express are proud to announce big power forward Tyler Bourassa has signed to play with the Express for the 2017-2018 season.

Tyler brings to the table a large frame, standing at 6’3″ and 220lbs. His size, skill and speed allows him to be a true Power forward and will become a fan favorite in Espanola very quickly.

As a product of Little Caesars midget AAA program, the Linden Michigan native played Junior Hockey last season for the Tri-City Hawks in the USPHL.

“I had the opportunity to watch Tyler play in at least 10 games this season at several showcase tournaments, where his team was a top contender each tournament. He was dominant every time he was on the ice and we expect him to continue that in Espanola,” commented Express General Manager Chad Clarke.

The 18 year old forward had many options from several top teams this off season and he chose Espanola as the perfect fit for him. Tyler was impressed with the rebuild from the ground up in Espanola this season and wanted to be a part of all the great things happening with the Express moving forward this season.

When he was asked what he brings to the table, Tyler had this to say, “I am a hard working power forward looking to play the highest level junior and then college hockey possible. Every day I strive to improve on and off the ice and will be ready to seize an opportunity in Espanola”
